On Saturday, the 23rd we took a tour to Normandy to see the D-Day beaches June 1944 Are you still not tired of your history lessons? We have learned so much!! We have learned that over 50,000,000 people lost their lives during World War II. I had heard of the 6 million Jews, but this figure is from all countries! WOW! How sad!!

From the museum where we saw a video, we were taken to the beaches between Utah and Omaha
These are the over 100 foot cliffs our soldiers had to climb and they were getting shot at by the German's all the while. 2500 men died on these beaches before they made it over the top.
