Again I had to have Sam pinch me - are we REALLY, REALLY in Paris? The first night we just wandered around and made our plans. What a city.
I'm going to digress here a little bit. I talk about climbing steps. Everywhere you go in Europe there are steps to climb. At first in Greece and then in Rome, we really were complaining of sore legs, calves, etc. etc. And it hasn't gotten any better. Paris has steps too.
Sam and Dan brought me a pedometer when they came. The first time I wore it, it fell off and I thought it was lost. We retraced our steps and found it, but I put it in my purse. In Berlin I was playing with it and reset it. I took it out yesterday here in Paris and it had logged 32 miles!! WOW - no wonder our lets and feet are sore!! LOL We are definitely getting our exercise.
We arrived on Wednesday and we decided to have a fine Parisian meal. The waiter took a picture as we needed to remember that we are really in Paris!!
Cafes all over with people sitting outside eating and whiling away the time. It's truly amazing!!
Thursday we started ou "Tour de Paris"
Arch de Triomphe
Eiffel Tower - yes Sara we actually climbed (or actually road the elevator up) clear to the top. You all would be so proud of me because I do have a time with heights - I just don't get close to the edge!! Sam takes the "edge" pictures!!
Here are a few pictures taken from the tummy turning top
OOPS Sam caught me texting Sara at the top of the Eiffel Tower!!
Try looking up without falling over backwards :)
Seine River from the Tower
And The Louve from the Tower - it's the BIG building in a rectangle kind of in the center of the picture
And here it is from the ground view!!

And what is the Louve famous for? The Mona Lisa of course!!
And La Venus de Milo
So this was our Thursday - after walking what seemed like miles to find an internet cafe we gave up and went back to our hotel.
More touring on Friday.....
